Virgin Money

Ridiculous company! Their “staff” are untrained, revolting children who don't know how to handle SPECIAL NEEDS customers properly. The customer was effectively BLAMED for the incident in the branch a few weeks ago even though it was the UNMONITORED machine that caused it. Never again will I ever attend one of their branches. They are exactly like every other company named Virgin… incapable of understanding that there is more to having a disability than sight and hearing loss. I sincerely hope they are dragged kicking and screaming by the scruff of the neck into the 21st century by the law. Avoid like the plague. They are 100% not worth the hassle.

Addendum 17 Oct 2017: Google seems to think that this is some kind of drinking establishment. IT IS NOT. Questions such as, 'Does this place offer all you can drink options?', and ' Is liquor served here?', do not apply! It is a business establishment that sets aside space for Virgin customers only to have a seat, a cuppa and a relax. The same is true for all Virgin Money Lounges. Original post: As Virgin customers we have used the various Virgin Lounges in London, Manchester, Edinburgh and, now, Glasgow. As ever we found it to be a great place for us, as pavement-pounding tourists, to take a breather from the City. A comfy seat, a great coffee, a couple of oaty biscuits and a read of the Glasgow Herald and we were ready to rubberneck in Glasgow again. This lovely Lounge, spread over two floors, is an oasis. Kudos to Virgin. Note: Please be aware that this place is not a restaurant or cafe, etc. It is a business and one can check one's bank accounts and do all things banking here. Virgin set aside space to relax and provide coffee, tea and soft drinks and newspapers to browse.

I visited Virgin Money in Queen Street, Glasgow yesterday. I have two ISA's and a Savings Account with Virgin Money. I wanted to open a current account and to transfer one of my ISA's to a different Virgin Money ISA which pays better interest. I was met by a young lady who told me she could do nothing for me, all accounts and ISA transfers were on line, so good day! In a matter of moments I found myself out on the street again. What a dismal and disheartening experience. My advice - avoid this establishment at all costs.

This is a little oasis in the centre of Glasgow, open to those with Virgin Money products. Simply register at the door and you have the run of the place. Tea and coffee are free and there are a few basic biscuits available. Internet is free, but not that fast - which is surprising given Virgin's boasts about their residential products. The crowds come and go during the day and it can be hard to find seating at the peak times. The lounge itself is kept clean and tidy by an attentive staff and the atmosphere is generally excellent. Recommended.
